Norton, founder of AsburyArt, is experienced in leading groups on visits to London museums and galleries, for art history tours and drawing sessions; he also delivers art history lectures on a range of topics. The courses are designed to meet the specific requirements of each group we work with, to ensure that they are suitable for all levels of ability and experience.
Norton studied at The Courtauld Institute of Art from 2002 to 2005 and was awarded a 1st Class BA (Hons) degree in History of Art. In line with his life-long interest in the practice and theory of drawing, his studies concentrated on the role of drawing in the work of different artists.
Since 2008 Norton has worked at the National Gallery, the Wallace Collection and for City Lit in the capacity of an education freelancer, designing and delivering a wide range of drawing and art history workshops; he has also given art history lectures to a range of organisations. He was assessed as 'outstanding' in an Ofsted assessment by City Lit for his art history teaching.
